No. FamilyCode is an AI ancestry estimate generated from a front-face selfie and public historical signals. It is not a laboratory DNA test and is not medical, legal or forensic.
What photo do I need to upload?
Only a clear, front-face selfie. No side profile, no manual physical data, no ID documents.
What does the free plan include?
One free self-scan with visible percentages. Ethnicity labels stay blurred until you subscribe, which also unlocks the full map/report, unlimited family scans and deep research.
How does deep research work?
Search any ethnicity, surname, region or migration story. Our AI + open-source engine synthesizes public sources into a readable report with summary, historical signals, ancestral context and a found-images carousel.
Can I scan photos of family members?
Yes. Add relatives to your tree and run a scan using an existing face photo — or a new front-face photo. You should only upload photos you have permission to use.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Manage or cancel anytime through your Apple ID in iPhone Settings → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Is my data private?
Your photos and results are stored under your account only. You can delete uploaded photos and generated scan data from Settings at any time.
